Mobile

Mobile devices are not officially supported yet.

HIS originally set out to support all major PC and MAC browsers. We found that many parts of the REsearch system started to work one by one as we started to meet internet standards.

While the major components of REsearch started working (searching, for example) many components started to run in to trouble (like mapping). Upon further investigation, we found that the TOUCH interface of these mobile devices is what is causing strange behavior in mobile devices.

When HIS pursues mobile compatibility, there will be many factors to consider. The most important factor will be the effect on the work flow of our membership. We could not find an MLS that is providing a full-featured MLS using a touch interface so we'll need to do a lot of market research and spend a lot of time with you to find out how you would use a TOUCH interface in your MLS.

It is a daunting task, but we here at HIS consider ourselves to be huge technology geeks. Mobile is a big part of our personal lives and we are looking forward to moving in that direction.
